Bought one of them dongles to connect the laptop to the net.

Been working fine for the last month or so then last night when why sister was using it it said windows does not recognise this device, USB device malfunctioned. Something along them lines anyway.

Any one any ideas whats wrong.

Just tried it in the computer and it works fine, just stopped working in the laptop for some reason

Try something else in the laptop usb port, the port may be goosed

Yeah. Try another port, or try removing the drivers & software and reinstalling them.

I've uninstalled the software but how do I know which driver is for the wireless adapter?

When I put the disc in to reinstall it noting happened.

Try another USB port?
Check the USB ports are still active and function in Device Manager?
