My PC running XP has for no reason decided not to boot up

I have a feeling it is virus related. Is there anything I can do tried booting in safe mode but it just resets after 10seconds of loading

I've got a lot of data on there that I really need

could be a hard drive failure. i had that recently on my imac.

if you have no luck then make sure you try and get everything from the drive you need by either using the drive as a slave on another computer, or get yourself an adaptor that turns your hard drive into an external one.
