Sound like good ole' ecotec doing its stuff!

Suspension looks the same as Nova/Corsa so springs would be easy!

Slam it, 19's, front and rear lips and skirts, sorted.

The vauxhall V6 engine is a nightmare.. I love Omegas but I'd go for a 2.2 petrol or 2.5td.

Head gasket issues, breather issues, block warping problems on the letter webbed ones.. And they drink fuel compared to other marques. Performance is nothing to write home about.

I reckon given the mileage and service history that this one 'should' be ok.

My only concern is if i break it (which is highly likely) then it will cost alot to sort!

Are you serious??Nova/Corsa springs will break with the weight of an omega on top of them.

PaulW is the man to speak to, U2U him - he has a collection of Omegas on his front yard with bits of Corsa GSi inside each one.

( Paul if you're reading )

you ever owned a V6 vaux?!

i had a vectra 2.5 V6, never had any issues in the 2 years and 45,000 miles i put on it, used to happily return 45mpg on dual carriage way and i never saw it go below 27mpg on any run.
performance wise 170bhp in a car that weighs 1450kg.... never going to set the world on fire but perfectly fine to over take and get places quickly if needs be. Happily do 140+mph when required.

I had a V6 Calibra with the C25XE engine in it once upon a time... It was nice and fast enough for me, but I got bored of rocker cover gaskets leaking oil, and random ABS issues (my brother had the same engine and the same problems in his old Cav V6 as well).

I would love another V6 though, but seeing as we have two dogs I'd probably go for an Omega estate.

same pretty much. i average about 27-28 town driving, 35 ish motoroway at 80odd mph. never really had an issue with it apart from egr into rear bank manifold but that was fixable without engine out. easier in an omega. mine is the gsi 192bhp vectra. its not amazingly quick, but it keeps up with 106 gti's no problem.

i quite like the v6 engine.

oh and i had an omega actually. was just a 2.0 16v but was comfy as hell to drive. even just as a 2.0 it would go sideways with ease.
