solution to sit and wait till engine up to temp without driving it to make it more economical. just might take a long time.

Starting car up 10 minutes before going out in the morning to warm up and melt the ice on the windows also uses more fuel.

stick the car right up close to your house outside if you can and the less energy efficiant homes will prevent your car from frosting up

So is it better to let car warm up before driving it in cold weather? Will this reduce the amount of fuel used or just waste more?

I just rag mine until it gets warm.
Gotta try and get it to 100mph before it hits 90c.
