Are vw polo`s any good?

defently thinking about getting one, but not sure on 3 or 5 doors

my mates got one with a g40 lump in modded and on r1 carbs lol goes like the clappers only 1-2 car lengths behind my redtop on the straights

Not so true on a fair few of the engines im afraid dude.. there are some very good engines, but there are also some fecking shite ones.. (1.4/1.6/ 8 and 16v + 1.2/6 chain driven spring to mind)

i had a polo, soo reliable! going to get another vw after the corsa, just cant beat them!

mine were a 1.4 8v, and never missed a beat!!

mattk - Yeah he did.

Anty - I've got a polo, (6n2) Facelift W Plate. Very nice cars to drive, mines done 92,000 and it's still going strong. It's a 3dr which has only recently bothered me as i want a 5dr for other reasons. But there are nice cars.

I wouldnt say so. Bu then again i've never driven a Ibiza.

Same chassis, engine and suspension components. Just a different shell tbh

i just got a 99 one today 1.4 and its pretty good. can fault anything so far and got a pit of spark in it when you put your foot done
