Hi all, been thinking about xe'ing the corsa. Just want to ask a few questions.

Main question being, is it absolutely vital that the bay is seem welded or whatever they do.?

What's the best place to get the conversion kit from?? LMF?

Would me and my Dad be able to do it ourselves? My dad used to have cav sri's etc and is very mechanically minded. Does all work on his and my cars. But never done a conversion.

How difficult is it to actually do?

Any help much appreciated Cheers!

conversion isnt that hard at all really

only tricky bit was the wiringm, but can buy a lead from twag and plug and play

soo many guides online can hardly go wrong, or just ask with bits if you get stuck

thats what i did when i fitted a let into my corsa(before this i had only changed plugs)

now just refitted a let into my nova, easy peasy

No welding\stengthening needed on the Corsa B.

LMF, Chris Astley, eBay, Forums etc for conversion kit.

There is a guide in here under the FAQ and Tutorials......

You'll be fine.

edit- can use corsa gsi shafts with cav mk2 inners

and can get mount kits from loads places online, lmf are good but pricey!

I didnt seam weld my bay for my let as it was mint, and shouldnt need soing for a xe but if your bay looking a bit rusty etc then might be worth doing

ok sound, gonna do abit more research on it all I think before we decide to do it. Read a few different guides etc. But Dad seems to think that the main conversion will be pretty straight forward, was just unsure on the welding, as we can't weld, but if it doesn't need doing then spot on!

Cheers lads!
