Right, decided I need to change my car pretty soon. I am stuck between a mk4 GTTDI 150 or the V6 4motion, what are the good and bad points of each? and what would you go for?, thanks.

GTTDI all day long for me excellent mpg can be tuned look nice.

my mate has a v6 4motion and tbh it does nothing at all for me not even that quick for the amount of juice it uses.

I had a GT tdi 130 for around a year, was a good car.

Cheap coilovers ruined it!

If its anything like the V6 in the mk5, it'll be properly thirsty and no quicker than the GTi due to all that weight up front.

For me, the mpg benefit of a diesel would definately outweigh the V6 sound.

4 motion is nothing special. Not really very quick. Go for the gttdi, More tuning potential.

Gave any of you ever been in a 4mo or driven one?

That 2.8 engine although it isn't the fastest is soo fucking smooth and refined. Yes it's a bit heavy on the juice but it is a far far superior engine to the TDI is your not after power and mpg.

been in a remaped gttdi and it was pulling on an r32 think it was about 200bhp and 300ft lbs of torque. only thing i know about the 4mo is they arent very tunable and they aren't to fast compared to the vr6s' 2.8. only v6 worth getting is the r32 especially if its been turbo'd

yeah but i think its just nice to know you can if you want to. also i dont think there is much point in buying a thirsty 'quick' car if more economical cars which have the same styling kits are faster
