Has anyone else here ever gone to see the Northern Lights? I've now got the idea in my head that I'd loe to go and see them for my next holiday so was wondering if anyone had any info? I've done a bit of research and I'd LOVE to go and stay in the ice hotel in sweeden for a couple of nights!

If the conditions are right, you can see them from the north coast of Scotland

by all accounts the northern lights are quite rare (assuming your talking about the Auora?).

It does look nice though.

I'm not, Doug, no, just coincidence! I suddenly decided yday that I wanted to go and see them so started looking online. From what I've seen theres loads to do even if I dont get to see the aurora, you can even get transport from the airport to the ice hotel on a husky sled, wicked!!

"Ice driving
After a theoretical review of a modern car’s security systems, you willl get to drive a car at an ice track under supervision of trained rally instructors. Push yourself and your car to the limit on the icy rally course"

Id better get saving!

There's a lot of holidays to go for them, get any winter brochure and you'll see them. Lapland etc... they're not all that rare if you properly research it and go around the right time of year and to the right places.

They're pretty expensive tho from what I remember. It's something I WILL do before I die.

I saw one package that was £994 per person for 3 nights there 2 of them in the ice hotel, and flights. I still need to look around a lot more, but thats a rough idea.
