Thinking about getting a Wii, just wondered what the online play is like? Laggy? many players?

I've only played Mario Kart online and it's great. Doesn't take long to load and there's loads of players.

It looks shit on certain games IMO, and I can imagine it being hard on games like WaW and the likes...

No problems with Mario Kart and Medal of Honor, had 32 players online with MoH.

I mean general gameplay, there's only certain games that will be good and popular online on the Wii, games like WaW look shit, takes an age to aim at someone and actually hit them, not to mention the empty servers.

Can you still play online when you softmod the console to use USB loaded games?

Not played CoD so can't comment, but MoH wasn't laggy, and the aim was fine, and there was always loads of people on it from all over Europe.

Can't find anything that says you cant play online. Can't do it to all Wii's either.

Its about 18 months old now and has never been updated so I should be able to do the Legend Of Zelda 'glitch' to install the homebrew channel and then be able to run the USB loader.
I am just going to buy a 32GB USB stick for it.
