Tabata HITT concept - anyone ever heard of/used it?
http://www.squidoo.com/tabatatraining
Basically, you do 8 x 20second rounds with 10second rests between them. Thats it! Its recommended you pick compound exercises that work as many muscle groups as possible, so I've started with pushups and squats
Now, I thought it'd be quite easy but its actually really REALLY not The third round and beyond is murder 'cause you go all out the first two rounds - but thats the point, you're not meant to pace yourself.

I've seen marine workout guides that are similar to the running part.

We used to do something similar at Rugby training with sprinting for 20s and then a 10s rest - was a killer but Id much rather do that than continuous running!

Any HIIT training is brilliant. Still good to do some steady state (slow) cardio once a week at least.
I lost quite alot of weight doing HIIT running, i was doing 13 mins at the end tho, 1mins running, 1 mins fast walk

When 100 pushups was the next big thing I was doing 100 in 90seconds I probably only did about 60/70 in 4 mins
