Changed the head on my car and used my old lifters as I knew they were in good condition and were no noisy at all. Now the car is running, have exellent compression accross all 4 but the lifters are a bit on the noisy side. Are there any oil additives that I can use or any other advice?

when you say lifters do u mean the tappets. they are hydrolic (sorry about the spelling). when i rebuilt the head in my x16xe it said i needed to store these in oil so they dont loose the oil inside them. mine was noisey at first but soon quietend down after 20mins left idleing.
i supose you could try using some really thin oil leave it runing for 30mins then drain and put the correct oil in. dnt know if that would help at all??????
