any way of getting it done quickly e.g paying extra?

Bascially been offered a swap for my car. Not sure if the garage where i have seen my new car will take the other person car in part ex with them owning it or whether i need to own it. So wondered if it was practical accept my the swap. regsiter in my name then part ex

Also depends how efficent the old owner is. I didnt get mine for 4 weeks called them and it was still at his house

yep...me too. been about 8 weeks now...may have to send in a v62 with the v5/c...

problem is i need to tax the car at the end of the month...and so that would leave me with no docs.

mine didn't arrive (waited circa 2 months) so i had to send off for it myself, then it took around 2 weeks

i know the lad wantin to sawp.. well hes my cousion, tidy car that corsa is mate. regular services ect.. its also on that network Q thing.. bit mad doin a swap.. but he hasnt got the cash to buy yours then sell his, and cant sell his and have no car becuase of work.. so good deal there really where bouts in stoke you from?

You can tax it with the new keepers slip you should have been given at the time of buying the car, aslong as you have all other documents.

Oh & I've always got log books within about 3 weeks.

You dont have to have a tax renewal form to buy car tax.
