Thinking of doing XE conversion but the only real limitation is insurance! phoned Adrian flux as everyone on here rates them, im 20, 3yrs no claims ll20, ok postcode? i told them i was just looking for a quote to see how much, they took my DOB, postcode and no claims amount, and that i have no convictions etc then said in around £1800 for third party fire and theft??!! didnt ask for any other information, i no im young etc but im sure iv seen people with quotes ALOT lower than that for generally the same stats? any help tips?

I was 1700 third part fire and theft on a corsa let at 19 with 2 years ncb with flux

lol how can they justfy mine then? they didnt really go into the quote much? just few questions and "around 1800" should i try again and go into the quote more?

have you tired brentace or chris knott. they both very good with moded cars. and i did some quotes on my 1.6 before christmas and got about £850 ive been looking now and its gone up to £1000 third part and thats with less miles and a cheaper to insure job aswell. if i had the same details as last year it would be 1300 so insurance ust have gone up this year.

No only just tried Adrian, just annoying when others with same/worse conditions than me get a lot cheaper quotes!! i.e. James above!! more shopping i spose

mines 3rd party f&t with 6 points im 20 with 2years ncb and its just over £670 a year

definitely got to try them again! think insurance in general has gone up this year but mines ridiculous when compared!!
