Hi
I have a c16xe/x16xe hybrid engine (c16 block, internals and head. X16 ancillaries) and the EML comes on everytime i drive at a constant speed over 50mph. it then drops off some power. also its VERY thirsty. (240 miles to a tank). i had it scanned and this code came up:
P0170 Fuel Trim (bank 1)
It happens everytime i drive it, wether the engine is hot or cold, being thrashed or not, the light and that code keeps coming up. I believe this is a common fault but cant seem to find out what is causing it.
Has anybody else had this problem or know how to sort it out because i cannot afford to run it like this.
Any Help will be greatly Apprieciated.

0170 comes up as rich exhaust also on other lists, I would guess that you have a faulty injector sticking open and flooding a pot this could be injector or maybe wrong signal from ecu, check see if you have a wet plug then if so replace that injector, or I could be miles out just what I would be checking if it was mine.
