how do you take it out, do you twist it? i have had a look but can't get my head round how it comes off. am i just being thick? it's a 1.6 sport

There`s three leg`s mate you push out, and the lot comes out.

Flip the black rubber case of under seat.
Unplug the sensor
Spin the silver ring round with hammer and screwdriver
Undo fuel pipes
Pull it till no more
Pinch the 3 catches on the basket
Pull the top assembly out
Either, Disconnect the return pipe and leave with the basket
Or, pinch the second set of 3 catches on the bottom of the basket and remove the whole assembly.
