I used to use Nokian DH ones back in the day, mainly because my bike was set up for freeriding in the alps and I used to get pinch flats with the lighter weight ones

I bought a pack of 10 Continentals from Wiggle, seemed a reasonable price.

I've used them for over a year now and find them fine. I dont ride all that hard though so I dont get that many punctures anyway. Better off looking at more substantial tyres I'd of thought if you get a lot of punctures

Just make sure they're the right size for your tyres i.e. big fat wide DH tyres need bigger tubes in. Thicker the tube, the better really. Unless you're into super light weight racers and shave your legs.

Is it expensive/PITA to go tubeless? I remember one of my mates used to run them, he stuck a screwdriver through the tyre to show me how good it was. It sealed up fine and didn't go flat. Quite impressed!

thats another option i've been looking into. to a certain extent i'm not too fussed about expence. i'd rather pay more and not have to worry about being late for work due to getting punctures in both wheels within 3 miles of each other.

I think all I used to use were just a local bike shops cheap brand. Duro or summat like that. I used to ride trials running 2.35 IRC Kujos at 28psi....used to hit the rim occasionally but never got pinch flats.

I use the slime inner tubes and I would never go back to normal ones.
Only had one pucture where the hole was to big for the slime to seal and running close to 60 psi didnt help
Patched and good as new

I found the slime tubes to be quite heavy. Once I got some decent tyres punctures because of glass, thorns and other shit were a thing of the past. Snakebites were still a pain when running low pressures and going over difficult terrain.

Yes the slimes are heavy but I have yet to see a tyre that can stop a thorn.
I thought we were supposed to have some kevlar tyres but nobbly and wide getting more common

Snap, seemed a good all-rounder when i used them a few years ago for all types of riding, used to be forever going through tubes whilst trials riding
