Author blocking off the egr! x16xe eml light????

got an x16xe engine with a faulty egr, it brings the eml light on, taken it off and looks fudged, just wonderin if i make a blankin plate and put it over the egr and leave it plugged in would it still bring the eml on? and would it run worse or better??

It would better as you have blanked it off, if the ecu light is on for that reason, when you have blacnked it, it will go off pm Richardhhha he has some plates

Give the valve a clean aswell

The valve has to be working before you blank it to stop the EML

yeah give it a good spraying with carb cleanr and clean off as much carbon as you can then blank it off, the piston has to move before blanking.
