Hi guys I currently own a 2000 reg corsa 1.4 16v sport and am looking to put a redtop in it but I was wondering if anybody could help me with a list of what I need ?? I've heard chris astley is the best guy to do engine conversions but he's moved down south now which is a bit of a bummer because I can't get hold of him any ideas how to many thanks George

Budget around 1.5k for engine, box labour, new parts etc. just in case.
Mine ended up costing under a grand, but i had mates rates on the engine and I knew it was a good runner.

Wow that's not too bad actually I'm thinking about buying an engine off eBay but I'm not too sure as most of the engines have been taken out of the cars .??? I heard chris astley had relocated to Cornwall but I could be wrong

go on tutorials and faqs section at top of page... then into engine work section... the into c20xe conversion, theres a list of all the bits you need on there mate... plus the classified section on this website is brilliant, ive bought virtually all my conversion parts off here saving shed loads of money and i found auto vaux cheap for all rebuild parts. i started collecting conversion parts few months back when i saw them pop up on here and ebay at bargain prices and luckily had a mate with a calibra with 69k on engine... who had money problems so i kindly took advantage of and got engine box loom ect ect for 250... ebay always seem to have a good selection of redtops tho tho mate. and for fitting there are some people on here who will fit our engine for round the 300-350 mark.

I'm from Blackburn Lancashire I'm gonna have a look on the classifieds like you said you guys are a great help I would try and do the conversion myself with a few mates but don't feel confident enough  if chris astley has gone bust where's my best bet to get engine mounts ? eBay? Thanks again guys

if you buy performance vaux mag there is sometimes stuff in there, also a company called lmf do all conversion parts for 2.0 or v6 into corsa b but cheapest place is on here or ebay mate, and for fitting the engine get intouch with ^ philip2 and he will help with stuff you need and do a fitting service like he is for me
