F20 clutch will be fine. Big block engine to big block gearbox so the clutch from either will do.

while the box and clutch are off, have look to see if it still has the standard flywheel, if it has - replace it with one off an astra GTE and it will liven it up loads.

LET flywheel will be pot type.

No sure how you will work out what clutch you need tho. You'll need to find out what type of lightened flywheel the car has.

clutch to fit input shaft of f20 so if flat flywheel, early xe clutch, if pot type, later clutch.

ahhh spot on mate its a XE lightened flywheel so im guessing a flat flywheel
also i drove it yesterday when the clutch bits it flys pulls in every gear so strong i feel in love with the torque only problem is tho its got that nasty flat spot i been told by him that it needs a bigger fuel regulator adjustable one is better 3L cams and flywheel which its got?? also i read about a software update on the 2.5 a remap from vauxhall??

cheers

could still be a lightened pot type one. Would need to find out. Can buy chips off ebay for the 2.5 to give it same power as gsi 2.5 which claim to be 192bhp. Quite cheap for the chips. No idea about upgrade software from vauxhall. As far as i know there is no upgrade from vauxhall.

A 3.8 bar FPR from Vauxhall will cure the flatspot.
Set of 3.0 cams,3.8bar FPR,decent filter and free flowing exhaust will see you chapping on the door of 200bhp.

they dont cure the flat spot. Make it better but then it over fuels up top end so you get better mid range but loses out top end of rev. Gsi has same cams as 3.0 and with 3.8 bar reg i got 191bhp.

Hmm it cured it on my C25XE Astra and my brother has just fitted 1 to his P1 Vec Gsi and he said it cured it.Unless it can still be picked up on a RR as having a flat spot??

What engine is in the Astra as your ecu might be different Nic.

Is it the C25XE?

*edit* Porter why would you want to superchip it and remap it??dont think you can remap the superchips.Would probably be pointless if you could.

Ah right a get you now.

Get Superchips to fit a blank chip and have them stick a map on it.

mine is same ecu as normal vectra just with msd map on it. Cant read it. Tried in a few different software no joy. Brings up chassis number and ecu but nothing can be read. Might as well buy the 192 chip off ebay be much cheaper.

oh right. Is it just the cams that gives it 20bhp more without different fuel and ignition then?
