Hi, a mate at works sister has a bodykit for her car and he wants to know how much it will cost roughly to fit/sand/paint it. I have no idea but would imagine acouple of hundred. Anybody got rough prices?

If its GRP the finish will be terrible and it will require serious amounts of work and cost a small fortune.

Yep, cheaper for me to get a cheap compressor, and do it all myself

So best case scenario, we are talking 400-500 then? And that would be cheap.

Better off just putting it all in a pile and burning it.

Also depends on the bodykit, if its one of those massive ugly prowler things then all the arches and stuff need doing aswel

When i was doing up my corsa from what I remember (this was 2001/2002) to have:
Veccy GSi rep fibreglass bumper, painted, fitted and meshed
Saxo spoiler painted and fitted onto GSi spoiler
Twin lights painted fitted (and fixed as one case was badly cracked)
Inta side skirts painted and fitted
all came to £450ish.top class job and not exactly what you would call a cheap garage

Getting it sanded/primed/painted will cost the most, fitting it is a piece of piss. I assume you know how to take bumpers and arches off and how to it spoilers?

A few years back, I had a fibreglass bodykit fitted to a 1.4 sport. It was a full 8 piece kit and needed a lot of cutting and chopping to get it looking good. I paid £1000 cash to have the kit fitted and whole car resprayed.

Or the finish will be fantastic and it will fit perfectly.
