lost my virginity the other day to AVATAR 3D and I was amazed!

Awesome film, even better due to the fact it was 3d

do they use special screens? or will this sort of thing be available for home use in the future?

specs required for the most.
I understand there are a few TVs that were shown off at CES which didnt need glasses, but I didnt see any footage.

I believe you will need a new type of blu-ray player to see the Avatar in 3D (i might be wrong though, read it somewhere online).

i saw a 3d tv about 5 years ago at a convention. you didn't have to wear glasses and it worked very well. the only problem was that you have to loook at it directly from the front. even the slightest angle stopped it working. the guy who was showing it off was saying they are close to perfecting the technology.

It's basically 2 cameras about the same distance apart as your eyes.

The glases used in the cinema just now are circular polarized and the system is called Real 3D.

They just project left, right, left, right and the polarization is changed for each eye.

i'm sure gadget show had a 3D screen on recently and didn't need the glasses. May have been a laptop but remember the test was on a train with the bald dude.

They had an LG 3d TV in Harrods the other day. It was clever how it worked, but it made me feel ill
