hi i decided to take my areil of my car,and now im left with a square hole and i dont wont water getting in and soaking my headlining,so can i chop a bung down to fill it,only till i have enough money to have it smoothed.thanks

i didnt even have to cut one down to fit in the squre hole,i just went halfouds and bought a assorted pack of gromets and the 13mm one went in nice and tight.
how much do you think it will cost for a body shop to smooth it out and then they would have to repaint all my roof as they wouldent get a good colour match if they sprayed the little bit.

I'd have personally put the grommet in the other way for neatness!
Would also imagine the full roof would need spraying. No idea on costs involved though I'm afraid.

yeah i now its not very neat maybe are try and turn it around and see if thats better,i just really hope that it will keep the water out when i wash it

you dont have to spray the whole roof
you can do whats called a "blow in". basically paint the section your wanting to paint including laquer, remove the masking and spray thinners on the apparent "line" then buff it out (carefully and not too fast)
saves you from having to paint the whole roof or wherever your doing it
but tbh i can imagine most bodyshops will either paint the whole roof or say thay did haha
