right, this has well and truely made me go off sony car stereo stuff, first of all the amp fried in my old headunit.
now one of the fcuking 6x9's has gone running off the headunit, wasnt even loud. anyone sugest any suitable replacements, dont usually run a sub so i like having these speakers. NOT sony though. waste of money there stuff.

I fryed my amp on my sony headunit aswell, your 6x9 might of gone because its not getting enough power and getting a dirtorted signal from your HU!!!! just a thought!!!!

My local audio place recommends the Alpine Type - S and Type - R 6x9's and said they both have good bass and treble so i dont think u cud go wrong with either of those!
I currently have JBL Power 6x9's and am cery happy with them but need an amp for them really

alpine type R's 6*9s will be 10 times better than sonys, the type R have good bass too, thats what i would go for - i will be when i get some dollar

doubt it they were shit ones, lol.
yeah think i may go for type r's in that case 
ive got an alpine amp which looks about right to power them, currently in mates car on his typre r fronts.
