As long as it's off the public highway then aye, it can expire then you get it done whenever you please As long as it has valid insurance and tax, you can book and MOT at a garage and drive it legally to that destination.

Are you away now as if not get it mot'd and you will have 12 months from the date it expires so you can maximum of a 13 month MOT.

I go away tomorrow for 2 weeks, then going down to Teesside right after for a course so no time to do anything about it really as i'll not be here.
Ive booked it online just now into local Kwik Thick down the road, i'll get someone to drop it off & pick up...shouldnt need anything!

Min... I just had to change insurers for the 911 and pay about £50 more as they dont take under 30's now.
My MOT on the Impreza has run out... if you arent using it dont worry. Just get it done when you are home again.

Wouldn't do it till you get back. I needed tax on one of my bikes, so i thought i'd check both MOT's.
One ran out in November. (only ridden that once)
The other ran out start of Feb, ride this every day!!! Its MOT'd last weekend and ok, but you should be fine to get away with it.
I dunno if I was just lucky though mental note, be more aware of paperwork
