Hi all.
I have been losing quite a bit oil recently (C12NZ), and the side of the engine is covered. See pic below:
Where is it coming from? Head gasket?
Thanks.

Even though theres no oil coming from the rocker cover gasket?
Looks like the cam housing to head join to me.

I was wondering whether that was a join. Are they two separate pieces sealed with a gasket?

The rocker cover is at the top. Its black in the picture. i would say its the head gasket and where the head splits to remove the cam shaft

pic added for clarification:
The rocker cover gasket is at 1. As said before there is no leak around this.
The most obvious place is at 2, but I didn't know if this was a join - as per Glen and Vaux Lad, I guess this is.
Anyone know what the torque setting is for these head bolts? Just want to check that before plunging in with removing the head.

Lol,how?
Rocker gasket seals between rocker cover and cam housing(the dry bit in the pic)
Thats leaking from the cam housing to head join, well thats how it looks from the pics. It doesnt have a gasket there, just sealent is used to seal it
Or looking again, maybe even the oil seal ring on the distributor
