What are they worth?

I was offered one by a customer at work today for next to nothing, got to be worth a few quid for the engine, box and interior surely?

I'm quite tempted.

Anyone driven/owned one?

My Dad had a Vi, that went well. Handled good too. I can only imagine the BRM would be better.

VVC K series, LSD and making a lot of my money back selling the interior sounds like a good idea for a donor car

The cheapest one on pistonheads is £1150, this one is quite a lot less than that but I don't know if it still has the LSD as he said it had a new gearbox

My old man's one is a cracking little driver Robin. He's had it for just shy of ten years and it's never missed a beat.

Revvy little nutter it is. He had a Powerflow cat back system put on a few years ago and it sounds like a 1275 Mini with an RC40.

Nice close short gearing plus slipper so is a reet laff on minor roads. Spring and damper rates are different to the standard 200 too.

I'm trying to get him to fork out on some MGF Cup wheels for it at the moment.

He said he was offered it for £300 as a trade in, so politely declined. He said he'd be after £850 so I reckon £700 will be a good starting point, less with no diff.
