Mines on similar mileage as yours Fonz - I must just boot it everywhere, when going to Uni and back. Fannying around in rush hour traffic doesn't work.
i thought i saw a "W" plate on your car from a recent regional meet? or is that a private plate? mine is 1997 "R" we can have a good look at each others at the PVS convoy

my advice is get an early corsa with a 1.2 8v. will easy get 400 miles to a tank and they are so easy to fix and get parts for. In saying that i have never had a 1.2 8v engine break on me![Edited on 10-05-2007 by valverguy]
My thoughts Exactly, 1.2 8v is the 1 to go for.

as said the 1.2 8v is very very very rhobust, not once did mine ever miss a beat, It did get a bit of a booting as well,
2 of my mates had 12volts, one needed 300 quid spent on emmissions and ideling problems at 38k and another needed a new timing chain ICV CTS and lambda sensor at 57k
My 1.2 8v was still going very strong (very slowly though!) at 89k when I sold it, find a late MPi one better fuel efficiancy

Yes, mines a 2000 W, nearing 70k miles, so has been used some what.
PVS convoy it is - at least everyone won't be bombing off at 100,000,000mph. Dom H will also be there

I've driven both the 1.2 8v and the 1.0 and i'd stick to the 1.0, it has a little lower range poke in my opinion. Has a nicer sound as standard as well!

I'm not sure he's decided which engine to go for mate. Best off waiting a bit longer
