I'm 19, with 3 points and no NCB trying to find a decent insurance price for an X16 Sport when I next buy a car. My insurance has dropped considerably from the insurer wanting £4400 (last year for GSi) to £2100 for a Sport (3PF&T and points declared). Is this WAAAAAAY too much or does it sound about right?
What were/are you paying at my age to insure a Sport?

Indeed, which is why I'm trying to get it down somehow.
How do people get these tiny quotes? I'd love to know..

Dont bother with websites, your better phoning people up. I know its a pain in the arse but you cant haggle with a website.

That's true Adam.. a friend just tried insuring an MR2 and got quoted £2000 down the phone, yet they kept phoning back and eventually got it down to £1600..

Depends on where you live to and whether you've had a fault or non fault accident, according to some insurance companys if you've had a non fault accident, your more likely to have a fault accident. . . . . . . . . . dont know where the logic is in that tbh!

Really is daft about the non fault accidents isn't it! I've had 2 that weren't my fault and it was bumping the quotes up over £300
Edit: Job title can make a big difference as well.
