ever since Ive spent nearly a grand replacing the clutch on the car Ive been driving it very cautiously Ive been told basic clutch care is obviously no full throttle starts, never ever do these anyway cause its a deisel, it simply isnt fast off the line, and to not boot it from low revs ie 40 in 6th

correct or bullshit?

is there really much point in having a car??

i dont get all this clutch care, mpg calculations etc, just seems to take the fun out of driving.

In my opinion drive your car, enjoy it, if the clutch goes, replace it. Its all part and parcel of car maintanence.

Just drive it. Slipping it on hills is probably the killer one though.

Its just general wear and tear, my clutch is in desperate need of changing as I've had the car two years and done over 20,000 miles in it and have no idea when that or the cambelt was changed.
