I've just rang up my insurance company (sky) to enquire about the price increase in changing the policy from my corsa to a honda s2000.

Now i pay £1000 fully comp all declared on a 219bhp 210lbft Turbo Corsa C, Heaps of modifications including a Cage etc (hard to insure mods).

They quoted me £5185 to insure one for the year

the car was only £7.5k to buy

surely they make these figures up rediculous

I did a quote on moneysupermarket just and one insurance quote was £14k for the year

I never know where they get figures from for me a vxr (corsa or astra) and a civic type r is more expensive than a 350z and on all ofthem it would cost me £100 more to store it in the garage rather than it be parked on my drive (how that works i ave no idea)

its usually sky high because you in that vehicle is a high risk so they dont want to insure you, but rather than say no they offer a high price to either put you off or make a load of money out of you if youre stupid enouh to say yes

See now when i got a quote, the 350 would have cost more to insure than the civic
