According to Cameron it probably is. That 20% figure is going to include every last little payout the government gives. However when it's worded by him/the comics it will sound like 20% of the UK population will be on Job Seekers when that's not going to be the case.

This.
It sucks anyway, only £40 a week
Maximum is £30 so...where you getting your extra ten from?
Well I get it for going to tech, I just assumed it was EMA, maybe its not
Or maybe its different for NI?
Meh, I'm not complaining
I think you're getting ALG tbh.
TBH I don't know. I get my money paid and don't question it.
I don't think its ALG though as when I started the course I was only 16 (17 now)
I think it might be the tech it self that pays me. I'm not sure at all though

EMA. Don't get me started.
I kind of agree with the weekly payments, but my parents certainly couldn't afford to give me a cash hand out of £30 per week. Instead I had a Saturday job.
But what really got my back up was the £150 bonus they would get every term or half term just for attending. I had 100% and got cock all.

Same thoughts here. My mate was getting £30 a week and just spunked it on computer games. He would have done 6th form with or without the cash, so basically was just dropping money down the drain.

Sadly not, I wonder if I am entitled to anything. Would be nice if I were but most likely not.

Tried to but failed. Went away summer 2007. Contributed no n.i. Out of work now and can't claim. Tried to take it from tax year just gone by signing on after 5th as i've been in full time employement for them tax years but it doesn't change till end of year so stuck. Luckily it was a fixed term contract i ended so saved money to get me by while out of work. Got to sign on in morning just for n.i contributions, right laugh. Bit shit how all the low lifes are racking it in around here and i can't get jack shit. Usual case though.
