A dodgy rear beam on these is common as much, it's nothing to fix... its just something that would have to be replaced in time.

Good luck with the sale, it looks clean.

Slap a disk rear beam on it, can pick one up for £80-£100, bit more if theres proof of any bearing work, new bushes etc.

One of the best cars I ever owned was my Rallye. I put a disk beam on mine when it went but it was just hassle, was 20mm wider each side and lots of wee niggles.

If you were closer I'd have that off you in a flash.

Changing the rear beam aint that hard on one of these but its a pain in the arse to get one. No one wants to spend £1.3k on a car then have to pay £200+ on fixing it straight away. Plus finding a good 2nd hand beam that doesnt have any play in the arms is a nightmare on its own then you have to lower it to match the front which in turn knackers the good beam faster lol.

Probarly, Ive had like 3 -4 different people intrested each week for the past 2months, Its a shame the rear beam went when I was selling it, But 2 people have only ever seen it...and both just wanted it for nuffin....
