been wanting a new car for ages. bought the corsa so i could save for a better car. so far i have saved £0

so was looking for finance last night and i found a mondeo st tdci. not the highest spec but all i can afford. decent mileage looks clean and has history

guy said it would be £213 a month over 48 month but will try get it to £200.

should i ring him and see if he can get it to £185?

dunno what to do

dont want debt but want a better car

4 years driving the same ST TDCi Mondeo - sure you could handle it? It's a long time to be paying for a car imho.

Fair enough - I begrudge paying back the little I owe on the Punto, that is all.

If it's the only way you are going to be able to afford a better car then yeah i'd do it.

Last year or so i've had a simlar problem not being able to save money - mainly going out loads. Back on track now though. £500 saved this month

I got a loan out to pay for my car and don't regret it tbh, also with a loan I can change between cars and generally the interest is lower.

This says it all for me, it doesnt sound like its what you really want, also ou dont want the debt.

If you want a newer car that much why dont you look for something cheaper and get a loan form the bank

I'd happily take out finance but not on a Mondeo for near enough 10k.

Be worth about 3k in 4 years

Try and get something that will hold a bit more value.

If you want it and you can sustain payment go for it! However don't take finance get a personal loan so you have the flexibility to sell should you need to.
