tomorrow 12 of us are setting of to do the W2W which is 153miles, starting at Walney and finishing at Wearmouth. hoping the weather stays dry, but know the good old british weather it wont

I know that from at least Barrow to Kirkby Stephen you're going to be going up some big hills! Is this an off road or a road route?

If its off road you are going to have some serious hills to go over in the lakes.

You go through where I live according to that

well im back! thats the hardest thing ive ever done! in the end i did 162miles over three days. it was just hill after hill after hill! one of them was a 5mile climb to the top of tan hill which has the highest pub in the UK there.

matt - we did some off road bit but alot was on road.

my next mission is the C2C in one day!

I did the south downs over two days but thats a bit shorter. Dont know if you saw my thread
