i am trying to remove the dowel that locates the head onto the bottom end as there is 2 already on the bottom end and 1 on the head so i am removing the one of the head any tips on how to get it out i have been trying vice grips but it just wont come out need some help please. the engine is a c20xe

Spray some spunk on it and use some mole grips and don't give up!

its orite got it done hammered a tapered rod down the hole and griped the dowel and the rod and just wiggled it out
