make sure that the mark on the bottom belt pulley is lined up with the mark on the block, this is in position TDC or you can work it by the valves, not exactly sure how cant remember.

There's an arrow on the cam pulley, and one on the crank pully. Make sure the crank pulley one is pointing directly down. i.e 6 o clock. And the cam pulley is at 12 o clock. (It lines up with marks on the plastic thing, but essentially it's 12 and 6.)
That'll get piston 1 to TDC. Then pull back the tensioner and jab a screwdriver in the hole to hold it back. Slip the belt on, adjust the water pump. Turn it over by hand to make sure it's all good and badda bing badda boom.
Little trick is to mark the old cam belt at the 2 timing marks. Then when you put the new belt on you can check it's right. I used a little blob of tip-ex.
If you want any more help gimme a shout, I only did one on the same engine last week.

only the pulleys on the crank and camshaft need lining up, other than that the water pump makes no difference but will need adjusting to fix the tension
