Thinking of setting up a home gym, what are the pro's and con's of doing this?

i have got an out house built out of brick, has an electric supply, all i would need to do is give it a paint and screed the floor.

cons can be hard to get motivated.

good idea. there are plenty of times at night where i feel full of energy but it's too late to go to the gym so i dont bother. if i had a home gym i'd have gone in there and done an hour. if you're like that then it will be a good thing.

also a home gym can be as cheap or expensive as you want.and like C2RL R said it is available to use any time.

plus it depends how you workout for example i do a circuit, can be near impossible in a gym because as soon as you get off a machine someone else jumps on and hogs it

i will be doing this in my garage

like carl said, i regularly find i get a massive energy boost at night and i do't go to gyms as i don't like them so prefer to workout in my own home.

Hopefully I'll be able to get a 2 bed place when I move out and use the 2nd bedroom as a mini gym.

What sort of training you doing. If weights, don't bother with cheap stuff and invest in safety a buy a power cage. I might be selling mine soon if I don't buy a new house with a garage. If it's summit your after I'll sort you a good price

I go to the gym for 60 mins 4-5 days a week. If i had one at home i would never use it. TBF half the reason i go the gym is for the social aspect.

I have had one for the last few months, motivation can be hard but once you get the routine its not bad at all.

People who have home gyms; Do you have one of those multi-gyms or have you got free weights? Which would you recommend?
