On Saturday morning, my car was parked up the road, so I brought it down to my house to wash it… was fine. When I left to go to work about half hour later, I put it in 1st, lifted my foot off of the clutch…. Nothing happened!!
Initial thoughts were…. Clutch has gone, but I’m not so convinced now that its that! About a week ago I broke my engine mounts n snapped my driveshaft, I got that replaced n put coilovers on it, Could this problemo be to do with the drive shaft? The clutch bearing makes a lil noise but nothing strangely loud, pedal is in the same position and it feels as if it goes in to gear ok, so don’t think it’s the gearbox, just after other peoples views on what it could be!
cheers

and the other question i forgot to ask is, if the drive shaft has popped out, would it make a horrific noise, or do these ' symptoms' suggest it as a possibility?

are you sure your driveshaft hasnt come out slightly ?
Way I use to do it is with a chisel and knock it in and when you jack it will chuck out a little bit of oil but the story of clutch engaging but nothing happening sounds exactly same as what happened to me and it was just the drive shaft had come out slightly
