My cork one is leaking from about 4 places.
'Thegsi' informed me of the one regal sell but it's for a C20LET, is it the same?
If not what's the one to go for, smell of oil on the manifold is getting intoxicating now...

Do away with the twin cork gaskets as they're a waste of time.
This is the gasket you want, But you'll also need the ecotec sump bolts as they're shorter. If you use the XE bolt s they'll bottom out and leak like a good 'un.
Also use Wellseal. It's really good stuff.

like what terry said. although you will have to modify the baffle plate slightly to get it to fit. not hard though and a lot easier than 2 gaskets and a baffle plate and a sump to line up.
id never buy something i could get at motor factors for cheaper than a lot more money at regal.

I use the 2 cork gaskets with wellseal and never had a problem. I dont realy like the rubber ones, but each to their own.

It's actually an Ecotec (X20XEV) sump gasket. A lot of people use it on the C20XE. I fitted it straight to mine but with the Ecotec sump bolts as the XE ones are too long.

I'm running ARP rod bolts and didn't bend anything, Never had any problems with the crank 1 within the last year of running it. I've had many issues with the engine but none crank related

Where'd you have to bend yours Nic? Mine has been on and off a few times with no fouling.

there was a tab sort of dip stick area that was stopping it being lifted in to place so had to bend it to clear. Perhaps mine is an 8v one although cant see why that would matter essentially same block and crank. Who knows. There is an article on mig about it and where you are supposed to adjust.

pretty sure mine is an 8v one and it fitted fine, but mine leaked a bit,as phillip said the cork ones with weld seal on are better but a bit awkward to do from underneath thats why i used the all in one type.

does the manifold have to come right off or can it just be unbolted from the block and lowered down a bit??
