I never finish a cup of tea. There's always at least 1" left in the bottom.

I read a study a while ago that the percentage of saliva goes up as you finish a drink. Makes sense really, more mouthfuls means more is being washed back in to the glass.

So the bit about the bottom portion not tasting as nice may have some mileage.

I always sip a pint untill it starts getting warm them do the classic downing it and then to the bar for another!

because i drink coffee and tea without milk i usually get less of a cup if someone else is making it because they always leave space for milk, pisses me off

this only because my gran uses tea leaves and always think im going to get a mouthful of tea leaves
