The black round cv bit that the driveshaft goes into ( on the gearbox ) is still stuck there, but got the driveshaft off. How do i get this off??? as im having great difficulty, and what is the exact name of this part as i need a new one, as all the bearings n that came out!!

Yeah i was thinking that, had quite a 'manly flat head'.... but it snapped it :-( will try crow bar! whats the exact part that im after called, its offside, but is it outer CV on inner CV that i am wanting to replace. as the driveshaft is in good nick, cba to replace the lot!

try 2 screw drivers, one either side if you can,
gives better leverage.

ok, i will give that a go too! is there a thread on hear that just shows and explains the lot, i know how to put it all back together, its just buying the right part lol!

If its the cv joint that goes in the gearbox then its the inner one
