Morning

anyone know if there would be any issues with using a later loom and ecu with an earlier 20XE engine.

i have a lambda sensor connected and was wondering if it would cause any effects?

There will be many issues.

Use the proper loom for the engine.

what would these issues be? i have been using one for a couple of years and have had a few fuelling problems just wondered if the loom would be the main culpret for these or individual sensors?

no there shouldnt be any issues as long as you have the lambda pluged in dont think anything else is different tbh

It will possibly have a coil pack instead of a distributor, that means it needs a sensor for the cam and generally this means the exhaust cam will need changing as its slightly different to use the sensor.
