Looking for a holiday for Alex and I in August. Since this is the most expensive month of the year to go, we're a little limited in where we can go. We've set a budget of maximum £1000 per person but MAY push it a little further. Now I've found my dream place http://www.thomson.co.uk/thomson/page/byo/accomdetails/accomdetails.page?packageNumber=0293251281088800000128110410000039212817161000001281771000000393&dateXSell=0&numberOfRooms=1&accommodationType=0&numAdults=2&departureDate=2010-8-08&duration=7&departureAirportCode=*SC&rating=4&partyRoomConfiguration=1|2|0/&accommFeaturesBitValue=8196&tuiAccomCode=029325 in Mexico. However, it's in the middle of nowhere so I've been trying to find the same sort of thing elsewhere and nothing is comparing in the slightest Any suggestions? Doesn't have to be exactly like that, just somewhere nice! Thanks

Rather pathetically, Abu Dhabi is looking attractive after Sex and the City 2! However, Alex's friend works there and I understand it's not as fabulous as the film suggests

I would also recommend goa. Really is cheap when you're there too. Beautiful place and different to any holiday I've been on.
