Only seen the capital Yuzhno-Sakhalinsk, and port town of Korsakov so far.... not great

Russia's largest island... just north of Japan.

you have to just laugh at some of the russians.... they are exactly as they are made out to be.

Lots of 'leisure wear' paired with shoes and naff leather jackets... huge (not fat, just huge) women in gold high heels, tight trousers, wooly jumpers and died ginger'ish mops. Blergh.
