writing on bank notes?
... in particular writing a web site address on a bank note?
- People write on them all the time, marking them up with numbers and stuff. What about if you put mini adverts on bank notes.
like.
'What are you listening to? www.waylt.com'
would you get tracked down (its your domain / site) and get in trouble? I'm just thinking, if I started doing that sort of thing on every note I handle - then you'll soon end up with quite a lot in circulation and they'll change hands all the time. People may not notice, but some will - and the curiousity may make them view the site.

will only get in trouble if they can prove you're the one doing it, or telling people to do it.
nothing to stop everyone writing youporn.com on a fiver and handing it over at argos or something lol.
whether they'll accept it is another matter

I suppose you could argue that it's been done by someone wanting to cause trouble for you... e.g. Pepsi writing CocaCola all over them to try get them in trouble.
Innocent until proven guilty?
I say go for it.. sounds like a good idea, and may eventually make it onto Sky & BBC news when the craze takes off. You could lead the way and get plenty of exposure.

It is illegal, yes.
Paragraph 12 of http://www.opsi.gov.uk/RevisedStatutes/Acts/ukpga/1928/cukpga_19280013_en_1
Although I can't work out what 'level 1 on the standard scale' means.

So by the looks of it you can get charged up to £200 per note you write on.

Im trying to track this note to see where it ends up" emailed him "Aigburth, Liverpool" and he sent me a list back of where it had been and it started off in Newcastle and had been everywhere! Cornwall, Bournemouth, Southampton
