getting it done next week engine is from an astra gsi i think!!
£1500 all in only thing i need to do is get a new suspension kit!!!
By the way engine is going into a corsa gsi
If anyone wants engine let me no but its fucked!!!
Can i just ask how fast will a 2L 16v corsa top end do??
Also there said redtop engines are much better than the ecotech is this true

1500 is the about price, and u dont need a full new suspension kit the car just needs lowering
top end is really what the gearbox will let ya, i would say about 130'ish

speedo's not worken, But to read your speed of the rev counter , 5th gear, whatever the revs are double and take 2x0's off , try it and u will see..... ie 2000revs x 2 = 4000 take 2 00 = 40mph
so 6500revs x2 - 13000 take 2 00 + 130mph
as for 0-60 i can sit side by side with a Type R

Not convinced that little formula works... I don't think its a linear relationship.
Therefore your 130mph estimate may well be correct but i don't think the 40mph is!

Should hit about 130 in the corsa with a redop. Calibra hits about 135mph, Astra does 133 i think. Corsas areodynamics are about as good as a brick though.
60mph your looking at about 6.5-8 seconds depeding on what else is done to it and what wheels etc.
Redtops are better than the ecotecs. Ecotec has a good torque figure, but it needs to be a 2.2 16v just to get 145bhp.
I think the 2.2 would be better int eh longrun. But, if ur talking about the 2.0litre, then that only has 136bhp in standard trim. Dont like them engines at all.

yer and how much money would it cost to get that power from it?
do u know if ur engine has a coscast head?
also if u put in a F28 gearbox ull get a higher top end if thats what u want
