my cars just come back from mot and its failed on
front passenger light not working (it is but is alot duller than the drivers side)
hand brake cable needs replacing
needs a new rear spring
drivers side wing mirror - the actual bit of mirror not the whole thing
egr valve/sensor - ive been told this alone is £145 + vat

just wondering if anyone can give a rough figure on cost to fix
all parts are standard vaux parts for a 12v

if its more value than the car then ill be going for a new car which is why i want to know since i will have till the 26th june to find adn buy one

cheers

How do you know it needs an egr valve? Is the em light on? How far out were the emissions? Spring and cable won't cost much to fix. Prob bout 100 quid for a garage including the parts.

Second hand EGR is about £15, Handbrake cable, £15, Headlight might need replaceing, second hand is about a tenner.

Spring, could pick up some standard second hand ones for postage cost (if you want some, U2U me).

Mirror glass, halfords do them for about £5 iirc

How did you fail on EGR valve?

If the EML isnt on there it should be fine? and its only for emissions which it will pass without it and some people even have them blanked off
