I was on my way back from town this morning when my phone goes, it was the Crown Court saying they were a juror down and could I come down. I said I needed to drop my car off first so would be down in 45 min. They said fine. On the way home my phone goes and said they needed me ASAP and could I get a taxi and they would reimburse me. So I get a taxi to the court with minutes to spare. I get sent to the juror room with everyone else and the usher tells us theres some problems so its going to take a while. 2 hours later he comes in and says everyone has pleaded guilty and there will be no cases today
Wants me back tomorrow for the other cases

Went back today and 1 pleaded guilty and the other case had no evidence. So let us go.
Asked me back next week, said no

I thought jurors had to be picked at random, not just called on the morning when someone else doesn't turn up

@ Dawson.
I didn't know they could randomly contact you after you had done it?
It was ace going into court each day, I may go and touch some slags who are fuelled up on tart-juice in inappropriate places just so I can go back?
