Just read in the paper that tinting your windows is now illegal,didnt read the whole article bout it.can anyone shed some light on this because im looking to tint my windows next month

provided it lets a certain amount of light through ur fine i think its 75 per cent. Thats for front sides. Rear sides and back can go as dark as u want, windscreen tinting is illegal.

I got my window's tinted at Christmas, they're just a smoked tint, still light enough to see through but at an angle they look nice'n dark. I've never been stopped for them from the police either (probably jinxed myself now!). The place that did them advised that tint as they'd had no one get any hassle with them really.
Place that did them was Autotint in Newcastle. Very good job they did too.
