quite tempted by one of these, insurance quotes have just come in around the same as im paying for the corsa at the moment! i was planning on a z20let in the corsa, but i just dont think ill ever be bothered to do it and i fancy somethin a but bigger.
what tuning options are available? i wouldnt be looking at going crazy, just a remap and decat with maybe a decent stainless exhaust. is 250bhp an achievable target?
anyone got pics of any special ones?

both sri and gsi have 17" wheels would imagine they would have the same brakes. i am also looking to buy one of these in a few months was gona go for the sri because there cheaper to buy and insure but the interior in the sri is pretty gash compared to the gsi

Mate used to have one, some people dont like the rear bumper or the crap looking turbo sticker and prefer the styling of the gsi, but id have the sri because its rare.

same brakes as the gsi and coupe turbo. there 308mm. there not that good though so wack some decent discs and yellow stuff pads on. thats what iam going to do.
only thing that lets the sri down is the interior as said, but you can pick up a set of half leather gsi seats or a good nick full leather interior out of a coupe second hand for £300-500.

thats good, ive got some gsi calipers and i would have kept them if theyre an upgrade but they can be flogged off now.
i really like the coupe black and white interior, might have a look about for one of them.
theres plenty of sri's around the £3k mark i hadnt realised they were that much cheaper than gsi's! anyone wanna buy my corsa

im looking at silver ones, mainly because im too lazy to clean my car. i hate my corsa for always looking dirty and my old red corsa always looked faded if it wasnt cleaned weekly.

well i cant afford to buy and insure a gsi so the sri will have to do for the time being. even if i got a gsi, id much prefer an evo for example but again i cant afford to buy insure and run one yet.

I really liked my SRI Turbo that was running 306bhp and went like stink, I personally wouldnt be bothered paying the extra for a GSI. As someone has already said the interior could be better, but you can replace it, I have both GSI full & half leather for sale
Corsa's with the Z20LET in are loads of fun though, you get a much faster ride for less bhp than in an Astra. Just depends if you have time and money for a conversion though.

Just thinkin once I've sold the Corsa I won't have to put muc more to it to get the astra, where the conversion in the Corsa will cost me £2k just for engine and conversion bits. That's £2k that could be spent on power mods for the astra.
Makes more sense just to go with the astra!

You'll get an good enough example for that, and then just keep an eye out for parts. I've always got stuff coming in, just picked a silver one up the other day to break with some decent bits on.
